Fifteen years after Qing Emperor Jiaqing was crowned the country appears to be in harmony. However, fights between the imperial concubines escalate. Unfortunately, just after the contract is signed, Gai Lan unexpectedly passes away. Helpless, Lan Guangchang has no choice but to pin his hopes for success on Gai Yingjing.
