Loriot is a classic German comedy television series produced by Radio Bremen from 1976 to 1978. Each of the six episodes (numbered with Roman numerals I–VI) featured sketches and cartoons by and with Loriot . Some of these achieved cult status. In the 1990s, the short films were re-edited into 14 programs of 25 minutes each, supplemented by works from other television programs featuring Loriot. In October 2007, the six episodes were released in largely their original order and length on the DVD box set Loriot – The Complete Television Edition .

The complete collection of all of Loriot's television works is finally available. Over 50 sketches and cartoons have been rediscovered in the television archives. In unabridged original programs, we reunite with the Hoppenstedt family, the gentlemen in the bathroom, the lottery winner Erwin Lindemann and all the other characters from Loriot's television world. We experience Loriot live on stage, in the circus ring and with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. Of course, the legendary birthday shows are also included in this exclusive DVD collection.
