Our House is a British Entertainment television programme. Originally broadcast on UKTV Style, it is a show which more thoroughly follows the DIY show fad of the late 1990s. The object of the show is to take a dilapidated house and completely do it up into a "dream" house. The show claims to "bring together everything you need to know about creating your own dream home under one roof - expert advice, step-by-step DIY guides, tricks of the trade". A step-by-step guide to creating the perfect home, in which a 1950's run-down three-bedroom house in Bexley, Kent is renovated from scratch. The show has a central presenter in Andrea McLean, and a series of experts who offer step-by-step advice and insider knowledge on DIY.

Nick explores a different home in each episode, from a Tudor cottage in Warwickshire and a Georgian townhouse in Bath to a 1970s duplex in Surrey, revealing that each has a story to tell. To help the home owners work out their Tudor from their Georgian and their Doric from their Deco, Nick rolls up his sleeves and delves into the untouched corners of each property, educating the owners along the way. This is restoration with knobs on, as each home’s transformation offers stacks of design inspiration and shopping tips. Interior designer Gordon Whistance is back for a brand new and exclusive series that unearths the worst in DIY disasters, dodgy decorating and downright bad taste. This fifteen-part series sees Gordon travels up and down the country to name and shame some of Britain’s Ugliest Rooms, wading through a hideous array of nominations sent in by the public.
