The Layover is a travel and food show on the Travel Channel hosted by Anthony Bourdain. The show premiered on November 21, 2011 in an episode based on Singapore. The format and the content of the show are based on what a traveler can do, eat, visit and enjoy within 24 to 48 hours in a city. Each episode starts with the host landing at the city, with the clock starting the countdown until the time that he will leave the city. As a seasoned traveler, he meets up with locals and explores the city in and out, within matters of hours, both the touristy way and the local way. On February 15, 2012, Travel Channel renewed the show for the 2012/2013 season, selecting November 19, 2012 for the second season premiere; featured cities for the season include Atlanta, Chicago, Dublin, New Orleans, Paris, Philadelphia, São Paulo, Seattle, Toronto, and Taipei.

Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern is a travel and cuisine television show hosted by Andrew Zimmern on the Travel Channel. The first season debuted on Monday, February 26, 2007 at 9pm ET/PT. Bizarre Foods focuses on regional cuisine from around the world which is typically perceived by Americans as being disgusting, exotic, or bizarre. In each episode, Zimmern focuses on the cuisine of a particular country or region. He typically shows how the food is procured, where it is served, and, usually without hesitation, eats it. Originally a one-hour documentary titled Bizarre Foods of Asia, repeated showings on the Travel Channel drew consistent, considerable audiences. In late 2006, it was decided to turn the documentary into a weekly, one-hour show with the same premise and with Andrew Zimmern as the host. In 2009, Zimmern took a break from Bizarre Foods to work on one season of the spin-off Bizarre World.

Bert the Conqueror (2010)
Bert the Conqueror was an American reality television series which premiered on the Travel Channel on June 16, 2010. The show was hosted by the American stand-up comedian Bert Kreischer. He traveled across the United States to amusement parks and other entertainment venues to experience and promote various roller coasters, water rides, and unusual sports. Bert was known for his uncontrollable screaming in early episodes of the show. Each episode took part in a single U.S. state, and each episode was titled with the name of the state in which that episode takes place. There are also episodes which took place in a single amusement park, such as Cedar Point, in which Bert rode 4 roller coasters at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. On September 24, 2010, Bert the Conqueror was renewed for a second season. The renewal was revealed on the Bert the Conqueror Facebook page the next day. The second season began April 3, 2011. Bert the Conqueror was moved during its last season in favor of the US version of Scream! If You Know the Answer, which was also hosted by Bert Kreisher. It was not picked up for a third season.

Amazing Adventures of a Nobody is a reality-travel entertainment TV series that follows Leon Logothetis, the presenter and creator, on his travels around the U.K. on just 5 pounds a day. The 5 pounds have to cover food, accommodation and travel; the 5 pounds reflecting an average hourly wage, according to the Department of Trade and Industry in the U.K.. Leon had certain cities he had to pass through and was only ever allowed to stay for 24 hours in each city. The 5 pounds could not roll over and had to be spent. He was presented a new five pound note for each new day. The public could buy him things and he could work for goods, but was never allowed to be given money directly. Before Leon had done the U.K. version, he traveled in America on $5 a day, starting in Times Square, New York and finishing at the Hollywood Sign, Los Angeles. Amazing Adventures of a Nobody has been shown on numerous Television Channels including Sky3, Sky Travel, Life One, Extreme Sports Channel & Fox Reality Channel. As of June 2009, a European version in which Logothetis travels from Paris, France all the way to Moscow, Russia on €5 a day was aired on Dave and was repeated on Blighty.
