Know Your Sport is an Irish sports quiz show produced by RTÉ between 8 October 1987 and 1 April 1998. The show was presented by George Hamilton and featured Jimmy Magee and Mary Hogan as scorekeeper. Rounds of questions included the "specialist subject", "great moment in sport", "mystery guest" and "buzzer" rounds. In 2009 an appeal to re-introduce the show to RTÉ's schedule gathered support on networking website, Facebook.

Wanderly Wagon followed human and puppet characters as they traveled around Ireland visiting interesting locations, rescuing princesses and generally doing good. The original premise of the show expanded to follow the characters to magical lands of Irish mythology, and into outer space.

Eco Eye is an Irish television series broadcast on RTÉ One. It is presented by Duncan Stewart and focuses on environmental issues. Stewart's daughter Tania also features on the show; she reports from across Ireland, asking people their views on Ireland's environmental future. Eco Eye airs every Wednesday at 19:30, with the 2009 series being the sixth of its kind overall. The 2009 series also entered Northern Ireland for the very first time when it examined important cross border issues such as shared waters, transboundary waste problems and tourism in Northern Ireland. Après Match is an Irish comedy show normally screened after competitive Irish soccer matches on RTÉ. It is performed by Barry Murphy, Risteárd Cooper and Gary Cooke. It grew out of Barry Murphy and Risteárd Cooper's Frank's Euro Ting sketches which first enlivened RTÉ's coverage of Euro '96 for which Rep. of Ireland had failed to qualify. "Après Match" proper was born when Gary Cooke joined the duo and soon became a fixture following each of Ireland's qualifying games for the 1998 World Cup. It tells the tales of the County Donegal undertakers Charlie and Vincie Burn who run a turf-fueled crematorium. They are rivaled by another group of more professional undertakers led by Frank Doyle. Republic of Telly is a TV review and magazine programme on Irish public broadcaster, RTÉ Two. Presented by comedian Kevin McGahern, the programme is intended as a satirical examination at television, mocking various Irish and British TV channels, including sketches and special guests making an appearance from the shows. An added feature of the show is its correspondents Jennifer Maguire and Bernard O'Shea. Maguire conducts vox pops and celebrity interviews, whereas O'Shea conducts "live on the spot reports". Series two also introduced comedians The Rubberbandits as reporters, bizarre weathermen and agony aunts. Ros na Rún is a long-running Irish soap opera produced for the Irish language television channel, TG4. It was originally broadcast on RTÉ One in the early 1990s before the existence of TG4. It now broadcasts for 35 weeks of the year, airing 2 episodes each week from September to May. The programme is set in a fictional village called Ros Na Rún, located outside Galway, and near Spiddal, and centres around the domestic and professional lives of its residents. It is modelled on an average village in the West of Ireland but with its own distinct personality – diverse population that share secrets, romances, friendships etc. While the core community has remained the same, the look and feel of Ros Na Rún has changed and evolved over the years to incorporate the changing face of rural Ireland.
