Although "Sala de Urgencias" its a medical drama focused on life and death, its adaptation also contains key elements that are more related to Latin American Fiction "Telenovela". The story takes place in a Colombian Hospital ("Hospital La Esperanza") emergency room, giving it a unique style.

While a man who believes he is sent by God to cleanse the earth before the second coming of Jesus murders homosexuals throughout the city, a group of young people in their final year of school are in the midst of discovering their sexuality.
