Kimizuka Kimihiko is a crisis-magnet. So it is no surprise when his rather mundane flight suddenly enters a state of emergency with a dire need of a detective onboard. The Kids From C.A.P.E.R. was a Saturday morning live action television comedy series for children, produced by NBC, that aired from September 11, 1976, to November 20, 1976, and resumed from April 9, 1977, to September 3, 1977. The 13 episodes were produced and directed by Stanley Z. Cherry; among the executive producers was rock impresario Don Kirshner. Both Cherry and Kirshner had worked for previous television series; Kirshner notably for the similairly-themed The Monkees. Although the show has not been released on video, there is an LP of most of the songs from the series, released by Kirshner Records and Tapes in 1977. One of the songs from the series, "When It Hit Me" was released as a single. In addition, it was recorded by Rob Hegel for his 1980 album released by RCA. "Tit For Tat," and "Baby Blue" had both been previously released by Neil Sedaka on his 1975 album "Hungry Years."

Monster Squad is a television series that aired Saturday mornings on NBC from 1976-1977 that is unrelated to the later movie of the same name. The series stars Fred Grandy as Walt, a criminology student working as a night watchman at "Fred's Wax Museum". To pass the time, Walt built a prototype "Crime Computer" hidden in a large stone sarcophagus near an exhibit of legendary monsters. When Walt plugged in his computer, "oscillating vibrations" brought to life the wax statues of Dracula, the Wolfman who here was named "Bruce W. Wolf", and Frankenstein's Monster who was referred to as "Frank N. Stein" in the credits. The monsters, wanting to make up for the misdeeds of their pasts, became superhero crimefighters who used their unique abilities to challenge and defeat various supervillains. In most episodes, Walt would send the monsters out to investigate crimes and fight the villains while monitoring the activities from the wax museum via the Crime Computer, presumably because his job required him to be at the wax museum at all times. However, Walt would sometimes join the climactic battle with his comrades in some episodes and come to the rescue when needed.

The Plastic Man Comedy/Adventure Show is an animated television series produced by Ruby-Spears Productions from 1979 to 1981; it was shown right after Super Friends on the ABC Network. It featured various adventures of the DC Comics superhero Plastic Man. The show features many adventures in different segments: Plastic Man, Baby Plas, Plastic Family, Mighty Man and Yukk, Fangface and Fangpuss, and Rickety Rocket. The show was repackaged by Arlington Television into 130 half-hour episodes, and released into national, first-run-off-network daily syndication in 1984. The Plastic Man Comedy Show was produced and directed by Steve Whiting and featured a live-action "Plastic Man", played by Taylor Marks.
